On June 7 the Last.fm administration reported that user passwords have been stolen by hackers. However, Last.fm didn’t provide the quantity of the stolen passwords.
“We are currently investigating the leak of some Last.fm user passwords. This follows recent password leaks on other sites, as well as information posted online. As a precautionary measure, we’re asking all our users to change their passwords immediately”, - the official statement said.
It should be mentioned that recently the social network LinkedIn has recently confirmed that there was leak of passwords of 6.5 million users. Besides, the same hacker stole user credentials of the dating site eHarmony.
“We’re sorry for the inconvenience around changing your password; Last.fm takes your privacy very seriously” – the site administration said.
