The Obama administration will put user's confidential data under control by passing "Privacy bill of rights".
"Never has privacy been more important than today, in the age of the Internet, the World Wide Web and smart phones", - Barack Obama wrote in a cover letter for the White House report on consumer data privacy in a networked world.
According to main bill principles, the companies should provide users appropriate control over their personal data, clear description why they need it and how they will use it, how long the companies will save users' data on theirs servers and under what conditions they may share this data with third-parties. Apart this, the companies should collect and use personal data according the context in which the data is given.
Due to the passing of "privacy bill of rights" some large Internet companies, including Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft and AOL, have agreed to support "Do Not Track technology" in most web browsers to make it easier for users to control online tracking.
