The Trojan may arrive as a package with the following characteristics:

Package name: com.androidsantivirus
Version: 1.2.7
Name: Antivirus Android's Security


Permissions
When the Trojan is being installed, it requests permissions to perform the following actions:

• Discover and pair Bluetooth devices
• Connect to paired Bluetooth devices
• Prevent processor from sleeping or screen from dimming
• Read or write to the system settings
• Open network connections
• Change network connectivity state
• Access information about the Wi-Fi state
• Access information about networks
• Access location information, such as GPS information
• Access location information, such as Cell-ID or Wi-Fi
• Check the phone's current state
• Read user's call log
• Write to user's call log
• Read SMS messages on the device
• Write to external storage devices
• Create new SMS messages
• Clear caches of all installed apps
• Find out the space used by any package
• Access list of accounts in the Accounts Service
• Read user's contacts data
• Create new contact data
• End background processes
• Read user's browsing history and bookmarks
• Write to user's browsing history and bookmarks
• Read services
• Access information about the Wi-Fi state
• Change Wi-fi state
• Make the device vibrate
• Start once the device has finished booting

Installation
Once installed, the application will display an icon with a picture of the Android logo with a yellow and black shield:



Functionality
The malware poses as an antivirus app for Android devices.

When the Trojan is executed, it claims that the device is infected with malware, regardless of whether or not this is true. It then asks the user to pay for the full version of the app in order to remove the fake malware infections from the device.
