According to the notification of one of the Bitcoin storages – Instawallet – service was compromised on Wednesday, April 3.
The note states that complete restoration of Instawallet is impossible and service will be unavailable until developers create an alternative architecture.
“For the first 90 days we will accept claims for individual Instawallets. Your wallet's URL and key will be used to pre-populate a form to file the claim,” – says the note.
According to the company, Bitcoin is going to return money contained in personal “wallets”: “After 90 days, if no other claim has been received for the same url, your Instawallet balance under 50 BTC will be refunded”.
So far, it is unknown how much web-money was stolen.
